Rohan’s summer morning takes a wild turn when his emotions come to life as a wacky monster parade!!  But what happens when his feelings get a little too loud??
Crafting the story and the visual layers required numerous iterations and back-and-forth discussions to ensure the main character had the autonomy to decide how to handle his emotions. I aimed to authentically depict a modern household where the mother is multitasking and the father is helping with the chores. To make the story more appealing and break traditional stereotypes, I dressed the protagonist in a scarf draped as a cape, challenging the notion that boys are "not meant" to wear such items.
The narrative is set in a "well-to-do Maharashtrian household" in Pune, with visual cues throughout the story reflecting this cultural setting. The form of the book plays a crucial role in making the story tactile and adding an extra layer of engagement.
